How we write
Our editorial and AI-use policy. It covers the blog and guides on this site, and the pieces the Desk writes for our customers' websites. Corantr Media Desk is run by Hynca Consulting Ltd.
Written with AI, approved by a person
Every piece is drafted by AI: Anthropic's Claude models research, write and check the text. A person reads each piece, can change anything, and decides whether it's approved. Nothing is published by itself, on this site or on our customers' sites: a person approves it on the Desk and a person publishes it.
Facts come from sources
- The Desk reads the full source, and for news and articles it also looks for up to two more reports of the same story, the original source first. It skips paywalled pages and respects each publisher's robots.txt.
- It draws up a fact sheet from what the sources say: figures, dates, and who said what. If there aren't enough usable facts, it doesn't write the piece.
- The piece is written from the fact sheet, not from memory. Gaps are left as gaps, not filled in.
- Sources are credited by name and linked in the piece. Our own blog posts list their sources at the end.
Every claim is checked
A separate check compares each factual claim with the fact sheet and with what the site says about itself. A claim it can't support is narrowed or removed, never strengthened. If the check can't run, the piece can't be approved until it has. The writing is also checked for padding, clichés and stock phrases.
AI can make mistakes, and so can people. These checks make mistakes rarer; they don't make them impossible. That's why a person reads and approves every piece.
Who it's written for
We write for readers, not for search engines or AI detectors. We don't pass text through "humanizer" tools, and we don't publish pieces only to fill a quota: an idea is approved by a person before anything is written.
Regulated businesses
For regulated firms, such as mortgage advisers, the site's approved compliance wording goes into every piece, and the required risk warnings are checked word for word. The firm's own approver remains responsible for its financial promotions.
Images
Header images are made with AI (OpenAI's image models). They are illustrations, not photographs of real events, and never show real or identifiable people.
Guides and updates
Our guides to each platform are checked every week, preferring the platform's own help pages and announcements. When something changes, a person reviews the change before the guide is updated, and the guide shows the date it was last updated.
Corrections
If you spot a mistake on this site, email hello@corantr.com. We check it against the sources, correct the piece, and show the date it was updated. A piece with a serious error is taken down until it's fixed.
